What Is a Mental Health MOT – and Do You Need One This Summer?
This time of year can feel like a contradiction.
The world says "slow down, enjoy the sunshine", but real life doesn't always allow for that. Many of us are juggling work, parenting, summer camps, travel, school transitions, emotional overload — and no space to breathe.
As a therapist and a mum, I get how hard it is to find time (or money) for long-term therapy. Weekly appointments can feel impossible when you're already spread thin.
That’s why I’ve created something different this summer.
🌿 The Summer Mental Health MOT
It’s a one-off, 90-minute online session to help you take stock of where you are — emotionally, mentally, and practically — and gently reconnect with what you need next.
This is not full therapy. It’s not crisis intervention. It’s a pause.
A reset.
A chance to sit down (virtually) with someone who gets it, and say:
“Here’s what I’m carrying. What now?”
✨ What You'll Receive
A structured, compassionate session with a qualified CBT therapist
Optional wellbeing screening tools
A brief written summary with insights, suggestions, and a gentle plan
Tailored signposting to books, services, or next steps (if wanted)
Emotional space — free of pressure, diagnosis, or long-term commitment
Whether you're navigating burnout, transition, heartbreak, parenting fatigue, or just an internal fog that won’t lift — this is a space to come home to yourself.
“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes… including you.”
— Anne Lamott

Sometimes a single conversation — with space to think and feel — can be the beginning of a very different journey.
